I’m a chilihead
I’m imagining myself at a Chilies Anonymous meeting, “Hi, my name is Phuong and I’m a chilihead.” Whew, that was a load off my mind! But can I stop eating it or even eat it in moderation? Nope, no can do! I have to have copious amounts of chilies in my food.
I paid dearly for this passion yesterday. My stomach decided to hold its own rave party, in rebellion to the amount of chilies that it had to digest! I suffered the entire afternoon, right into supper time. Serves me right I guess! The problem, if one could call it that, is that we’ve finally learned how to make chili sauce (recipe to come) so there’s no way to practice moderation!
I remember stuffing bottles of Matouk’s sauce in our suitcases to bring back here everytime we visited family in TO. If you’re not familiar with this sauce, it contains habaneros and it’s majorly HOT!
Well, thank God that era is over! Now if only I could apply the “Less is more” approach to chilies!
