Borough Market – review
Borough Market is a vibrant place with stalls both indoors and out and drinking holes nearby that cater to all sorts of pockets.
We bought Mrs King’s pork pie here which has won Melton Mowbray Pork Pie 2011 Award but unfortunately, it was inedible! The filling was so salty and seemed to contain a lot of preservatives or something undefineable that made it really horrid to the tastebuds! I must say that Andy Bates’ pork pie was way better!
We also tried a cider at New Forest Cider and we’re glad to say that our homemade cider to up to snuff as the one we had was comparable in taste!
There were all sorts of good eats on display and it was a pity that we had already planned to dine somewhere else as everything looked very yummy-licous! If you’re looking for picnic fare, this is the perfect place to go although I’d advise trying everything out before buying as looks can deceive!
Or you could always visit Andy Bates’ stall at Whitecross Market.
