Chinatown Icecream Factory

We were recommended this place by our friend Lindsey and it didn’t disappoint! Right smack in the heart of Chinatown is this little gem that serves ice cream with Asian flavours. The scoops were very generous and the tastes the BOMB!

Chinatown Icecream Factory - black sesame icecream and pandan icecream

black sesame icecream on the left and pandan on the right

We had one pandan and one black sesame. The pandan was yummy and tasted like it was made from the real thing while the black sesame was very intense in flavour. Both weren’t very sweet, exactly how I like my ices and didn’t have that dairy taste which usually makes me gag. Ice creams made for the lactose intolerant. Having said this, hubby had no complaint as to the creaminess or sweetness of the ices!

This was a perfect ending to our pho and I can’t wait to come back and try other flavours, maybe even durian ;)

UPDATE 28/7/2012 We had to have more ice cream from this place but unfortunately, the lychee ice cream was tasteless. No lychee flavour whatsoever! I would definitely give this a pass!!!
