La Dame Noire – review #2
We had eaten at La Dame Noire once before using the Taste card and were very satisfied with the experience so I couldn’t wait to book a table during Restaurant week! The menu is French onion soup for the app, moules frites or boeuf bourgignon for the mains and creme brulee for the dessert.
I chose the savory dishes and was very happy with my choices. The onion soup was a gigantic portion and the taste was perfect! The moules frites likewise. The mussels were a tad on the undercooked side, just the way I like them! The amazing thing was that for the first time ever, I had meat in every shell! The sauce was garlicky and had a deep seafood flavour. The fries were the best I’ve had in a long time and the aioli had enough of a garlicky punch in it.
I also had the wine offer to go with the food and they were quality white wines, especially the Hunky Dory from New Zealand! Absolutely spot-on!
The service was very good and the toilets clean. The resto has a cozy atmosphere and we could have stayed on talking into the night but unfortunately, we only had the table for 2 hours, which was normal during Restaurant Week. I’d definitely come back here again soon and not wait until next year’s Restaurant week. Highly recommended – gigantic portions of quality food for only 200 crowns!
