Duff’s Famous Wings – review
I had read many positive reviews of Duff’s Famous Wings and on Wings n Beer website, it is rated as the number one wing in Toronto. I really like the warning on their site: Medium is hot, Medium Hot is very hot, Hot is very, very hot. This was a very good sign and I saw that they even have Death and Armageddon. Unfortunately, the latter two sauces cost extra and it doesn’t say how much on their website.
Anyway, we went for the wings special on Tuesdays after 5pm – 10 wings with an order of a drink for only $7.25. A great deal! We ordered the superhot sauce and this was manageable. Unfortunately, I found these wings a tad too salty. The bold bbq sauce, on the other hand, was perfect – smokey with the right amount of sweet and tartness.
I like the fact that we could have extra celery with dipping sauces. Some place are really stingy on this but Duffs was very generous.
The first time, we managed 30 wings but that was pushing it a bit as we had to force ourselves to ingest the last wing. We were wiser the second time and only had 20 wings and we were both full afterwards.
We tried both the College and Bayview locations and the quality of the wings were the same. The College location is much larger and more for the younger crowd while the Bayview location is more for families, or so I thought!
The toilets were clean. The service was very friendly!
