Trattorian – review

We were here on a Friday two weeks ago and had a great time! They had a 50% off the food menu deal and we couldn’t resist. Having heard that Melker Andersson modelled this resto after Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant chains in the UK, I was a bit apprehensive about the food but my fears were unfounded.

The resto was really cozy even though we were sitting right by the entrance. The waitress was very patient with us and kudos to her for the wonderful service.

Hubby and I shared the small charkuteri plate for 2 and it was huge!!! The portion was very generous and the regular price was 175kr. For the quality and amount, I wouldn’t mind paying the full price!

Next I had the lamb. Can’t resist lamb when it’s on the menu. This portion was also huge, all 4 cutlets of succulent and tender meat. I had the rice fritters or arancini and this was a disappointment! The taste was very sour and the rice very bland and overcooked!

Hubby had the steak and he was raving about it. I must say the serving was huge and I was a bit envious that I didn’t get it. He also had the fried potatoes and he enjoyed them.

The rest of the table also enjoyed their food and we all agreed that we wouldn’t mind coming back!

Thanks Trattorian for the great evening and not serving mediocre Italian food!
