Pizzeria Giro – review

I was told by an Italian that Giro has the best pizza in town. We were a group of six who just had to try out this joint.

I had the funghi and salsiccia pizza and it was very good. The dough was light and fluffy, chewy and burnt in places, just the way I like it. The toppings were plentiful, even for a mushroom freak like me. The sausage was all right, although I had quite a bit of cartilage, chewy bits. The sauce was where I wasn’t too pleased. It was kinda bland! I think that the sauce at Vapiano is slightly better. I always compare new pizza joints with Vapiano as it’s my favorite.

Two Italians within our group were very pleased with their pizzas and one even pronounced “great pizza! really neapolitan style”. This review goes against the views of my Italian friends but that’s just the way it is – to each his own! 😉

The service was good!

I’d come back here to try other pizzas but for the price, I still prefer Vapiano!
