Me - the gastronomic traveller

A poor civil servant who is food-obsessed, a food nerd, food gorger, food fanatic, food salivater, food trekkie…  I’ll do almost anything for food. I dream about food, can talk about nothing else but food. My life revolves around the subject. Hey, I wonder if this can be classified as a sickness? I could use the disability money to go on a food quest to quell my food obsession.

Chinese and Vietnamese foods are what I grew up on. Nowadays though, my taste buds are not too fussy although I have a passion for chilies. I just love trying new food and perfecting old recipes. I’ll try to post new recipes on a regular basis and my reflections on food as well as reviews of restaurant visits. Anything about food and drinks really 🙂

I’m based in Stockholm so availability of Asian products is limited. I’ll try to substitute hard-to-come-by ingredients where possible and to keep my list of Asian supermarkets up to date. I’ll be holding cooking workshops once a month (check out the Cooking workshops-tab) so come join us.

I also started a supper club as of 2014, Guerilla eats. Our inaugural guerilla eats, Taste of Vietnam was a success! Can’t wait to host more events so come join us!

I try to give credit where it’s due but if I miss something, don’t hesitate to tell me.

I’d love to hear from you so don’t be shy. Although this is my happy place, I don’t believe in removing negative comments except for those comments that are derogatory, those containing bad language, etc.

I’d love to learn new recipes so if you have one that you’d like to submit, do drop me a line. Recipes will be reviewed and tested before they are published! Thank you for sharing!

You’re welcome to use / reprint our recipes and photos elsewhere as long as you mention where the materials come from and link back to this site.

Congratulations for a nice design, firstly. It warms up my heart when people openly talk about their passion, obsession and even addiction. Food, as a global addiction, deserves dedication!
