Black pepper grilled pork

This dish is wonderful grilled on the barbie on a warm summer day. I guarantee you that you’ll make new friends as your neighbours will come out to investigate the gorgeous aroma! Serve with nuoc mam cham, pickled vegetables, in a banh mi, on rice vermicelli or broken rice. DELISH!
Ingredients
- 500g thinly sliced (2mm) pork
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaohsing
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cloves crushed garlic
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Method
Step 1
Combine all the ingredients, except the pork, well.
Step 2
Place the pork in a 2L plastic bag.
Step 3
Add the marinade to the pork.
Step 4
Squeeze the air out of the bag and tie it closed
Step 5
Massage the meat ensuring that the pork is evenly coated with the marinade.
Step 6
Allow to marinade 1-2 hours in the fridge.
Step 7
Grill the meat outdoors on the barbie or on the stove top on a grill pan until the meat is cooked.
Step 8
Serve with broken rice, rice vermicelli or in a banh mi.
