Congee is rice porridge or rice soup and is eaten through Southeast Asia. It is given to babies, the old or as a warming soup when one is sick. To me, this is the ultimate comfort food!

Although plain congee is very comforting, the addition of century egg, salted preserved duck egg,  Chinese tea egg, preserved tofu, pig’s blood, offal or a myriad of other goodies makes the congee even yummier!
