Quick, flavourful Asian soup stock

I love these instant stock cubes. They make very flavourful soups at a moment’s notice with just the addition of coriander and fish sauce. One stock cube makes about 1L of stock. These are available at Asian supermarkets.
I wouldn’t recommend using normal stock cubes as they don’t taste “Asian” in any way and might ruin your soup. Use these instead and you’ll have more authentic soup!
Ingredients
- 1 stock cube
- 1L water
- handful of coriander stalks
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
Place all ingredients in a stock pot and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Allow to simmer for 30 minutes. Voila, a great stock in only 30 minutes!
