I discovered this drink during a trip to Vietnam. I had ordered a sour sop shake and fortunately, they were out of sour sop and suggested this instead. Now I try to alternate between the two shakes and sometimes even order both when eating out
You can substitute coconut milk for the condensed milk if you’re lactose intolerant!
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 5 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 250mL crushed ice
- * Roasted coconut flakes (optional)
Method
Step 1
Halv the avocados. Remove the pits. Scoop out the meat with a spoon and place in a blender. Add the rest of the ingredients.
Step 2
Blend until smooth. Adjust the sweetness by adding more condensed milk or more ice Serve in a sundae glass with a straw. Sprinkle with roasted coconut flakes
* To roast the coconut: add the coconut to a dry pan on high heat, stirring constanstly until golden brown. Allow to cool before using.
