Steak tartare

This was our New Year’s Eve luxury food, made from scratch! I guess we had a hankering for some Belgian specialty, see my post from way back when
Ingredients
- 175g good steak
- 1 egg yolk
- a few cornichons
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of capers
- 1 tablespoon of pickled onions
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- Tabasco sauce
- Black pepper
Method
Step 1
Remove the fat, cartilage and other stuff leaving only the meat. Mince until desired coarseness.
Step 2
Arrange the minced meat in the middle of your plate and place the egg yolk on top.
Step 3
Place your garnishes around the meat and serve with fries and Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, and fresh cracked black pepper. Bon appetit!
