This was our New Year’s Eve luxury food, made from scratch! I guess we had a hankering for some Belgian specialty, see my post from way back when 😉
- 175g good steak
- 1 egg yolk
- a few cornichons
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of capers
- 1 tablespoon of pickled onions
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- Tabasco sauce
- Black pepper
Remove the fat, cartilage and other stuff leaving only the meat. Mince until desired coarseness.
Arrange the minced meat in the middle of your plate and place the egg yolk on top.
Place your garnishes around the meat and serve with fries and Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, and fresh cracked black pepper. Bon appetit!
