What the heck? Yup, you read it – toasted rice powder! This is used as a spice and adds a different texture to your dish in Vietnam, Thailand and Laos, to name a few places.

Ingredients
- 100ml glutenous rice
Method
Step 1
Place the rice in a dry frying pan on medium heat.
Step 2
Stir constantly until the rice acquired a golden brown colour.
Step 3
Remove from the heat source and allow to cool.
Step 4
Grind the rice in a coffee grinder until desired consistency.
